Rituals Cosmetics!

Hey!

A couple of weeks ago, guest blogger Maria from Universo Larita wrote about Rituals Cosmetics and a couple of days later I received a little present from my mum.. a Rituals Cosmetics box set!

I’m so glad I got to try these products for myself. They smell amazing and I love setting aside an evening to pamper myself!

The box set included the Good Luck Scrub, Fortune Oil, Touch of Happiness body cream and Happy Buddha foaming shower gel.

I really recommend trying them out for yourself! They’re an affordable treat, and a great gift for a friend!

Rituals Cosmetics – Universo Larita!

Today’s post comes from Maria, founder of Universo Larita! Be sure to check out her bilingual Spanish/English blog!
Mae post heddiw yn dod gan Maria o Universo Larita! Ewch draw i gael golwg  ar ei blog dwyieithog Sbaeneg/Saesneg!

A few weeks ago I could get a free gift set from a famous Spanish magazine called Glamour. A couple of products from the body care brand Rituals Cosmetics. This body range is called Laughing Buddah, which it is made of citric ingredients. I am a lover of all related with citric fruits so I decided to choose this range instead of Sakura range (made of cherry and rice milk), which was also available.

The two products I could try were the two shown at the picture, the body cream Touch of Happiness and a body scrub called Fortune Scrub. I really love the names as they just make you feel positive by just repeating the names to oneself, hehe.

Touch of Hapiness is a body cream which its main ingredients are sweet orange and cedar wood. This last one is the main reason it gives the product its special scent, in my opinion. Despite this, the cream works properly and I don’t find anything special if you compare any other cheap body cream you can find in a drugstore. I don’t think I’d get it again. Since I am only interested in the scent, I’d probabbly get a perfume bottle, available on their website. Anyway, If you are interested in getting the body cream, I gotta say you can only get it if you purchase the gift set, as it is not sold separately, quite weird.

Fortune Scrub is a body scrub to use in the shower. I really really loved this product. It reminds me so much to Garnier Pure Active Fruit Energy body scrub, but this one from Rituals leaves your skin with an awesome body scent. Among its ingredients you can find organic mandarin and Yuzu (a citric fruit grown in Japan).

The truth is, I have never used any product of this brand before and now I am eager to try out more of them. They even have a home range with scented candles or air fresheners.

Is there any other Rituals Cosmetics product would you recommend? Just leave a message below and let me know, thanks! xxx

Besitos!

speedy mani!

The gorgeous colours of Barry M’s Speedy Quick Dry collection caught my eye straight away! And it realy does dry in ‘lightning speed’!

With ‘Eat My Dust’, I got a perfect spring shade mani without the burden of having to sit for aaaages for the paint to dry. It also has a flat brush, which I haven’t seen in Barry M before. It makes application super easy and fast!

Rimmel Mani!

Rimmel nail polish. Need I say more?

I’ve been looking for a grey shade for a while, but couldn’t find any ANYWHERE. I know, it’s not too spring-like, but something told me I needed to find one and try it out!

And then I found ‘Moon’, a polish from the Salon Pro collection by Kate Moss. With a lovely glossy finish, it serves to be a very sophisticated look and I’m so glad that I went on the hunt for it!

Paent gweinedd Rimmel. Oes rhaid i mi ddweud mwy?

‘Dwi wedi bod yn edrych am baent gewinedd llwyd ers oes, ond methu dod o hyd i ddim yn lan byd. Dwi’n gwybod, tydi llwyd ddim yn liw gwanwynnaidd iawn, ond roedd rhywbeth yn dweud wrthai bod RHAID i mi ddod o hyd i un!

Yna, wnes i ddod ar draws ‘Moon’ o gasgliad Salon Pro gan Kate Moss. Mae’n sgleiniog iawn ar ol iddo sychu, ac mae’n rhoi edrychiad soffistigedig iawn, felly dwi’n falch iawn fy mod i wedi bod yn chwilio amdano!

cyfweliad – Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog

image

Tybiaf fod Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog, band o Ogledd Cymru, yn hen gyfarwydd gyda byd cerddoriaeth Cymraeg erbyn hyn. Yn fand ers 2006, mae nhw wedi chwarae nifer fawr iawn o gigs a cyd-weithio gyda artistiaid fel Gwyneth Glyn.

Cefais gyfle sydyn i ofyn i Aled ychydig o gwestiynnau!

Sut wnaethoch chi benderfynnu creu’r band?

Mi oedd Dafydd a fi (Aled) mewn band yn barod. Mi oedd Iwan wedi dechrau chwara’ gitar a chyfansoddi, felly mi oedd o’n gam eitha naturiol i ni dechrau band.

Beth ydi’r darn o gyngor gora’ yda chi erioed wedi ei gael?

Never trust a man who wears both a belt and suspenders

Os fysa chi’n cael y cyfle i berfformio ar unrhyw lwyfan yn y byd, lle fysa chi isho perfformio?

Dani wedi bod yn eitha lwcus a chael chwarae mewn dipyn o lefydd unigryw – os fysa ni heb gael gwneud yn barod mae’n siwr y byddai Ynys Enlli wedi bod yn ateb. Mi fysa Ty Opera Sydney yn ddigon difyr dwi’n siwr, neu long danfor.

Beth ydi’r gig gora’ da chi erioed wedi ei wneud?

Mae na ambell un cofiadwy wedi bod… mae Clwb Rygbi Dolgellau yn ystod Sesiwn Fawr 2007 yn un dwi’n gofio’n dda, dwi erioed wedi gweld nunlle mor llawn! Mae Maes B wastad yn gret hefyd ac yn medru tynnu’r gorau allan o’r band.

Beth yw eich hoff gan ‘da chi wedi ei ysgrifennu?

Iwan sy’n sgwennu’r rhan fwyaf o’n caneuon ni. Fy ffefrynnau i ganddo fo ydi Ceffylau ar D’rannau, Can y Capten Llongau a Draw Dros y Mynydd

Beth yw eich hoff gan nad yda chi wedi ei ysgrifennu?

Mi oni’n trio meddwl be di’n hoff ganeuon i diwrnod o’r blaen… ar hyn o bryd mae hi rhwng Jolene (Dolly Parton), Something Changed (Pulp) a Running Scared (Roy Orbison)… neu ella S.O.S gan ABBA… neu Go Your Own way gan Fleetwood Mac… dwnim!

Cliciwch yma i wrando ar Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog!

spring nails – Models Own’s DOVE

image

Spring has very nearly arrived, and what better way to get spring-trend-ready than with a quick mani?

Models Own is my absolute favourite nail varnish brand, and their Speckled Eggs collection throws a little spin on the traditional spring shades. I only own one from this collection (so far), and it’s called ‘Dove’. The pretty pastel colour is perfect to entice you out of your winter sweats!

Mae’r gwanwyn bron a chyrraedd, a pa ffordd gwell i ddathlu ‘na gyda mani?

Fy hoff frand paent gewinedd i yw Models Own, a mae eu casgliad Speckled Eggs yn rhoi tro unigryw ar lliwiau traddodiadol y gwanwyn. Dim ond un o’r casgliad yma sydd gen i (hyd yn hyd!) a’i enw yw ‘Dove’. Mae’r lliw pastel prydferth yn siwr o godi unrhyw calon ar ol y gaeaf!

Savage Beauty

Open from 14th March – 2nd August 2015, Savage Beauty exhibits the genius designer Alexander McQueen’s work at the V&A Museum in London. According to the V&A website, they are ‘celebrating the extraordinary creative talent of one of the most innovative designers of recent times’.

He was brought up in the East-End and having left school at the age of 16 with only one qualification – Art – he has since grown to become one of the most influential British designers of all time.

His work has served as inspiration for many, his designs phenomenal works of art. McQueen’s designs are majestic, timeless and they will never be forgotten.

i-D looks back on the life of McQueen with ‘five things you didn’t know about alexander mcqueen’.

Yn agor o’r 14eg o Fawrth – 2il o Fawrth 2015, mae Savage Beauty yn arddangos gwaith yr arthylith Alexander McQueen yn amgueddfa V&A yn Llundain. Yn ol gwefan V&A, mae nhw’n dathlu talent anhygoel un o’r dylunwyr mwyaf arloesol.

Wedi ei fagu yn Llundain a wedi gadael yr ysgol yn 16 oed gyda dim ond un cymhwyster – Celf – mae McQueen eisioes wedi tyfu i fod yn un o’r dylunwyr Prydeinig mwyaf dylanwadol erioed.

Mae ei waith wedi bod yn ysbrydoliaeth i nifer, gan eu bod yn dim llai na gwaith celf syfrdanol ac anhygoel. Mae ei ddyluniadau yn fawreddog ac yn ddi-amser.

Mae i-D yn edrych yn ol ar fywyd McQueen.
