Rimmel Mani!

Rimmel nail polish. Need I say more?

I’ve been looking for a grey shade for a while, but couldn’t find any ANYWHERE. I know, it’s not too spring-like, but something told me I needed to find one and try it out!

And then I found ‘Moon’, a polish from the Salon Pro collection by Kate Moss. With a lovely glossy finish, it serves to be a very sophisticated look and I’m so glad that I went on the hunt for it!

Paent gweinedd Rimmel. Oes rhaid i mi ddweud mwy?

‘Dwi wedi bod yn edrych am baent gewinedd llwyd ers oes, ond methu dod o hyd i ddim yn lan byd. Dwi’n gwybod, tydi llwyd ddim yn liw gwanwynnaidd iawn, ond roedd rhywbeth yn dweud wrthai bod RHAID i mi ddod o hyd i un!

Yna, wnes i ddod ar draws ‘Moon’ o gasgliad Salon Pro gan Kate Moss. Mae’n sgleiniog iawn ar ol iddo sychu, ac mae’n rhoi edrychiad soffistigedig iawn, felly dwi’n falch iawn fy mod i wedi bod yn chwilio amdano!

spring nails – Models Own’s DOVE

image

Spring has very nearly arrived, and what better way to get spring-trend-ready than with a quick mani?

Models Own is my absolute favourite nail varnish brand, and their Speckled Eggs collection throws a little spin on the traditional spring shades. I only own one from this collection (so far), and it’s called ‘Dove’. The pretty pastel colour is perfect to entice you out of your winter sweats!

Mae’r gwanwyn bron a chyrraedd, a pa ffordd gwell i ddathlu ‘na gyda mani?

Fy hoff frand paent gewinedd i yw Models Own, a mae eu casgliad Speckled Eggs yn rhoi tro unigryw ar lliwiau traddodiadol y gwanwyn. Dim ond un o’r casgliad yma sydd gen i (hyd yn hyd!) a’i enw yw ‘Dove’. Mae’r lliw pastel prydferth yn siwr o godi unrhyw calon ar ol y gaeaf!

Savage Beauty

Open from 14th March – 2nd August 2015, Savage Beauty exhibits the genius designer Alexander McQueen’s work at the V&A Museum in London. According to the V&A website, they are ‘celebrating the extraordinary creative talent of one of the most innovative designers of recent times’.

He was brought up in the East-End and having left school at the age of 16 with only one qualification – Art – he has since grown to become one of the most influential British designers of all time.

His work has served as inspiration for many, his designs phenomenal works of art. McQueen’s designs are majestic, timeless and they will never be forgotten.

i-D looks back on the life of McQueen with ‘five things you didn’t know about alexander mcqueen’.

Yn agor o’r 14eg o Fawrth – 2il o Fawrth 2015, mae Savage Beauty yn arddangos gwaith yr arthylith Alexander McQueen yn amgueddfa V&A yn Llundain. Yn ol gwefan V&A, mae nhw’n dathlu talent anhygoel un o’r dylunwyr mwyaf arloesol.

Wedi ei fagu yn Llundain a wedi gadael yr ysgol yn 16 oed gyda dim ond un cymhwyster – Celf – mae McQueen eisioes wedi tyfu i fod yn un o’r dylunwyr Prydeinig mwyaf dylanwadol erioed.

Mae ei waith wedi bod yn ysbrydoliaeth i nifer, gan eu bod yn dim llai na gwaith celf syfrdanol ac anhygoel. Mae ei ddyluniadau yn fawreddog ac yn ddi-amser.

Mae i-D yn edrych yn ol ar fywyd McQueen.

Benefit – Roller Lash

How could I not buy Elle Magazine last month when they were giving away a free mini Benefit mascara? And then how could I not buy the real thing after it graced my lashes with pure awesomeness?

Benefit’s Roller Lash mascara was released in February, and I rushed to buy it! Being my first Benefit product, I looked forward to discover what I’ve been missing out on.

Roller Lash is no less than amazing. It makes my eyes look twice as big and gives them am instant glow. Even on days where I’m a tad peaky, Roller Lash brightens up my whole complexion!

Sut allawn beidio prynnu cylchgrawn Elle mis dywthaf pan oedd y cylchgrawn yn cynnig mascara Benefit am ddim? A wedyn, sut allawn i beidio prynnu’r mascara go iawn ar ol i’r sampl roi

Wedi ei ryddhau ym mis Chwefror, nes i ruthro i’r siop i’w brynnu! Hwn oedd y cynnyrch cyntaf Benefit i mi brynnu, felly roeddwn i’n edrych ymlaen yn arw i’w drio!

Mae Roller Lash yn dim llai na anhygoel. Mae’n wneud i fy llygaid edrych dwywaith eu maint ac yn eu gwneud yn fwy gloyw. Hyd yn oed ar y dyddiau ble dwi’n edrych braidd yn welw, mae Roller Lash yn bywiogi fy ngwedd yn syth!

Gwelais darn o emwaith Buddug am y tro cyntaf mewn Eisteddfod blwyddyn dwytha’, a roeddwn i wrth fy modd efo’r steil unigryw a’r prydferthwch syfrdanol. Felly, prynais darn bach fel anrheg i mam, mwclis calon gyda ‘Cariad’ arni.

Yn wreiddiol o Ogledd Cymru, mae Buddug bellach yn byw yn Llundain, wedi mynychu’r Brif Ysgol yno. Mae ei busnes bellach yn 10 mlwydd oed, ac mae’n mynd o nerth i nerth!

Beth am edrych ar wefan Buddug i gael golwg ar ei siop?

The first time I saw one of Buddug’s pieces was at an Eisteddfod last year, and I loved the unique rustic style and the stunning beauty they possessed. So, I just had to buy one for my mother, a heart necklace with ‘Cariad’, meaning Love in Welsh.

Originally from North Wales, Buddug now lives in London, having attended University there. Her business is now 10 years old!

Why not have a look at her online shop?

LFW – J JS Lee

Since finishing her studies at Central Saint Martins, receiving an MA in Womenswear, Jacke JS Lee has showcased many collections at London Fashion Week. I always look forward to seeing her newest designs, and today was no exception.

Eagerly awaiting by my laptop with the live stream on full screen, I think back on how her past collections have served as inspiration for me. I love how she can only use a select colour palette time after time, yet deliver something new.

As the room fell dark and silent, the first model entered. With a pixie bowl hairstyle and the classic red lip, the first outfit of LFW did not disapoint.

A persistent feature in this collection was a draw-string effect, which I loved! Gorgeous pale pink fur also graced the catwalk, with the odd shocking pink feature on the dark, black garments.

Pretty Timekeeper

image

This addition has been in my accessories collection for a couple of months now. I call it a timekeeper because ‘watch’ or ‘clock’ simply doesn’t suit it. I think ‘timekeeper’ goes with it’s vintage charm better, so ‘timekeeper’ it shall be.

I bought my gem from a stall at Clothes Show Live and I wore my timekeeper the minute I bought it. Until that moment I never realized how handy watches are! When I want to know the time, I look at my phone, which is usually deep in my bag under all the things I don’t need but are there just in case. But now, I can simply look down and there it is! I’m not keen on watches as I find them clumpy and awkward, but this is just perfect.

The best part about this trinket is that it goes with nearly every outfit! I wear a lot of dark colours, so it’s ideal. My only regret is that I didn’t buy more!
